Bernardo Solano Forero

Bernardo Solano is a retired partner who served from 2003 to 2024. His leadership was pivotal in establishing the company and spearheading its expansion in the LATAM market.

With a remarkable career spanning two decades, Bernardo was a renowned worldwide transfer pricing advisor. He conducted comprehensive studies for various industries and multinational corporations across Europe and Latin America. His expertise in transfer pricing consulting was particularly noted in the consumer goods, telecommunications, and insurance sectors.

Before his tenure at BaseFirma, Bernardo honed his skills as a Senior Manager in the global transfer pricing group at Ernst & Young (E&Y) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, for over four years. His prior experience includes serving as an economic and commercial advisor at the Colombian Embassy in The Hague, Netherlands, and working as a consultant on industrial development policies for Latin American countries for the World Bank and the Interamerican Development Bank, on behalf of the Dutch government.

Bernardo’s academic contributions are noteworthy; he lectured at the Business School of Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia, and at the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands. He also dedicated several years as a consultant and researcher for both institutions. His academic credentials include a master’s degree in development studies from the Institute of Social Studies in The Hague and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá. Bernardo is fluent in Spanish, English, Dutch, and Portuguese.
