BaseFirma Welcomes Former SAT Transfer Pricing Specialist Tania Casas as Associate in Mexico

BaseFirma is pleased to announce Tania Casas has joined the company, further strengthening the firm’s Transfer Pricing practice in Mexico.

Tania joins BaseFirma after building her career within Mexico’s federal tax authority (SAT), where she held senior leading roles in the Transfer Pricing area. Her experience inside the tax administration provides a unique perspective that will significantly enhance the firm’s ability to support clients navigating increasingly complex regulatory environments.

During her time at the SAT, Tania was directly involved in complex transfer pricing audits, fiscal valuations, and negotiations with multinational groups, including proceedings before PRODECON. This hands-on experience gives her a deep understanding of how tax authorities evaluate transfer pricing positions and the expectations companies face during audits and controversy processes.

Her technical background includes the application of OECD transfer pricing methodologies, financial and economic analysis, the selection of comparables, and the management of high-impact tax controversies. Bringing this first-hand regulatory insight to BaseFirma strengthens the firm’s multidisciplinary and regional advisory capabilities.

This appointment reflects BaseFirma’s ongoing commitment to expanding its team with professionals who combine technical excellence with real-world experience from within the tax authority, further reinforcing the firm’s presence and capabilities in the Mexican market.
